4ward Testing is the first Notified Testing Laboratory in the UK for sealants for the hEN 15651:2012 parts 1-5 set of standards, enabling manufacturers to CE mark their products.
Under the Construction Products Regulation (CPR), the harmonised EN standard was developed to enable the CE marking of sealants for Facade, Glazing, Sanitary and Pedestrian Walkways applications. This became effective from 1st July 2013 and CE marking is now mandatory (from 1st July 2014).
CE marking allows a product to be legally placed on the market in any Member State and demonstrates consistency of performance by the manufacturer. Under the CPR there are different levels for the Assessment and Verification of Constancy of Performance AVCP (formerly Attestation of Conformity). For most products covered by the EN 15651, initial type testing must be carried out by a Notified Testing Laboratory. As a Notified Testing Laboratory, 4ward Testing can provide the complete spectrum of sealant tests (Facade, Glazing, Sanitary and Pedestrian walkways) for CE marking.

4ward Testing is able to provide the AVCP level 3 tests for the hEN 15651 for CE marking.
With the most up to date information and in-depth understanding of the hEN 15651 standards, as well as a partnership with BASA (British Adhesives and Sealants Association), we aim to provide a complete sealant testing solution to all manufacturers and distributors.
