Standard: ASTM D2584 Ashing Testing

Standard Test Method for Ignition Loss of Cured Reinforced Resins. This test involves burning a resin and weighing the ash to establish how much of the compound is lost when burnt. The samples are put in a furnace and heated until no more material will burn, they are then dried and weighed and the material loss calculated.
