Our Commitment 4ward Testing is a micro business and specialist testing laboratory. We are committed to operating in a sustainable manner and minimising the environmental impact of our services. We recognise our responsibility to handle all client materials and our own waste with the highest regard for environmental safety and compliance.

Our Aims Our operational footprint is small, and we manage it through the following key principles:

1. Responsible Sample Management & Disposal

• We ensure all client samples are handled and processed in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

• We are committed to diverting 100% of manageable sample waste from landfill.

• Based on material composition, all samples are sent to our certified partners for recycling or energy-from-waste (power generation).

2. Waste Minimisation & Digital-First Operations

• We operate a digital-first policy for all client reporting, invoicing, and team communications to minimise paper consumption.

• Our internal operational waste is segregated to maximise recycling.

3. Sustainable Procurement

• We actively source and purchase sustainable products for our operations.

• This includes the use of recycled office paper and recycled paper products in our washroom facilities.

• We will continue to prioritise suppliers with strong environmental credentials where possible.

4. Legal & Regulatory Compliance

• We are committed to full compliance with all relevant UK environmental legislation, including our “Duty of Care” for waste.

• This ensures all business waste is stored securely, handled by registered waste carriers, and accompanied by the correct waste transfer documentation.

• We are committed to the principles of “Simpler Recycling” and will ensure our waste streams are segregated in line with UK requirements.
